The Conservation Fund Benefit Dinner is a relaxed evening that draws TGF members and friends in the Tri-state area to the banks of the Beaverkill River. At this year's dinner we will be honoring Paul Gallay, President of Riverkeeper, with the 2014 TGF Conservation Award. An attorney and educator, Mr. Gallay has dedicated himself to the environmental movement since 1987. Together with the Riverkeeper team, he works to protect the ecology of the Hudson River and its tributaries, and the drinking water supplies of nine million New Yorkers.
And, of course, we will hold the traditional raffle and silent auction to raise funds for our continuing defense of cold water fisheries and clean waters. A catalog of auction and raffle items will soon be available, so you can get an early start on holiday gift shopping for angling and non-angling friends alike. Please consider making a donation of a service like a day at your fishing club, rod or reel repair, or casting or fly tying instruction or a gift card (e.g. Amazon, Home Depot).
If you would like to volunteer to help with the event or have items or services that you wish to donate for the raffle or silent auction, please Contact Us.
Make a weekend of it - stay overnight on Saturday and spend Sunday fishing the Beaverkill with your TGF friends.
Your support is critical to Theodore Gordon Flyfisher’s ability to fulfill its mission to protect and preserve riparian habitat through conservation, environmental oversight and education. During 2013, because of your help, TGF was able to increase its endowment for the Founders Fund Scholarship program, continue its environmental conservation work and honor some of the critical players in both these efforts.
Please help make 2014 our most successful year yet.
